Fernsehturm, Reichstag, Siegessäule: How to Experience Berlin's Classic Landmarks

Yes, they're tourist attractions. But they're popular for good reason — you just need to approach them the right way.
Fernsehturm
368 metres tall, 40 seconds in the lift. Buy tickets online — the Fast-View tickets cost more but save you up to two hours of queuing. The light is at its most beautiful just before sunset.
Reichstag
The glass dome is free to visit — but only with prior registration. The Bundestag website allows bookings up to three months in advance. In the evening, the dome is nearly empty and spectacularly illuminated.
Siegessäule
285 steps, no lift — but the panoramic view across the Tiergarten to the Brandenburger Tor makes the climb worthwhile. Unlike the Fernsehturm, there are never queues here.
